And what a great time it was!!
About 30 ex-Handleman folks converged on Doug and Barb Kuennen's backyard for a great get-together on August 23rd. I'm afraid to name names because I know I'll probably forget someone - but we did miss those of you who weren't able to make it (THIS YEAR!). We are seriously planning another "UN-Sales Meeting" - probably late August again next year. We'll pick a weekend and a location (Vegas is top of the list right now) and do some serious catching up! So keep that in the back of your mind - I know that no one location or date will be perfect for everyone, but we hope we'll see even more familiar faces next year.

I was glad to see the outstanding turn out for hopefully the kick-off for future get togethers. As Pam stated many could not come for reasons of distance, working and had other obligations on the date of party. We were lucky it did not rain but it was extremely humid day of party. Many sat around pool cooling off with their feet in the cooling water! Everyone had a lot to catch up on with what is now going on with their lives. Many working for RES, Driveline, Mosaic, Andersons and other companies that we did not have time to play with Dennis Rudolph bean bag game, washers or dice game Left, Right, Center. Again I believe a good time was had by all and hope next year we can do the same.

I'm sorry I couldn't make it to the party this year. It's hard for me to do without quite a bit of advance notice. See pictures of everyone really makes me miss "our family" even more!!! Count me in for next year!!! Dennis, you gotta loosen up man!!! Have you forgotten how??? LOL!! Anyway, I mess all of you and can't wait to see everyone again!!! Thanks for a GREAT time and I am looking forward to future get togethers! There is no greater feeling than to been in the company of people that I once worked with and some that I still do. It was a wonderful opportunity to catch up with everybody! We are "family" will continue to be! Thanks to Doug and Barb, our gracious hosts! It was great seeing everyone and I hope next year it can be even larger. I spent 15 years with Handleman so there are many memories to share. Special thanks to Barb and Doug, I know it was a lot of work/money and your house and grounds are beautiful.

Daaaaaaaanng! I wish I could have been there. I almost didn't recognize some of you old geezers! :) I hope to be able to partake in the festivities whenever and wherever they might be next time. It was also nice to see the modest surroundings that Doug E Doug has - nice palm trees, pool, east wing of the house, west wing of the house, dancefloor, brewery :) Hopefully you were able to have a couple of Diet Cokes for me! And that posting by Pam - holy cow! Niiiiiiiiiice!!
